jamie baden was pulled kicking and screaming into this world because he was quite warm and it probably wouldn't have been so bad to stay in there forever. (he ended up being a C-section baby. i hear he's much less stubborn now.)
determined to make the most of his unfortunate situation, jamie spent the next two decades jumping from creative hobby to creative hobby. drawing, painting, sculpting, playing instruments, a longer-than-expected stint in backstage work (including stage management), video editing, and most importantly, writing.
thanks to all this experimentation, jamie realized that a repetitive job where every day is the same would make him jump off a bridge. he needed something creative and unpredictable, yet reliable with a healthy dose of problem solving.
while aimlessly browsing schools and degrees, unsure if he was even going to university, he came across advertising. a lazy writer would end here with something like, "and the rest was history." jamie is many things, but not lazy.
certainly not a lazy writer.
jamie lives to love words and hate the disgraces some people commit with them. his number one priority is to never add to that pile of mediocrity. even as a writer, he follows "show, don't tell" religiously. he knows how much is conveyed in tone and voice alone.
during his time at university, jamie discovered what a "copywriter" was, became one, served as the advertising major student representative, picked up a handful (or two) of awards, completed an internship where he helped launch a campaign for the first time, and built the beautiful portfolio you see here.
in may 2026, he will graduate with his BFA in advertising. while he thinks a career in lion taming sounds pretty cool, he's ready to settle into a copywriter position (close enough, anyways). so, if you hate this write-up, we're probably not a good match. i mean, you and jamie aren't a good match.
